Eric is a specialist in building and construction law. He worked as a solicitor within the Minter Ellison Construction, Engineering and Major Projects Group prior to coming to the Bar. While at Minter Ellison, Eric's practice comprised a mixture of domestic and commercial litigation and arbitration, professional negligence and copyright issues. He has also been actively involved in the building and construction industry for a number of years and is a registered plumber and gasfitter, having worked in that trade prior to entering the legal profession.
Eric has designed and presented a variety of workships/seminars relating to topics relevant to the building industry including copyright, VCAT disputation and the Domestic Building Contracts Act. He has also lectured several modules comprised in the Housing Industry Association Builders' Registration Course.
Prior to commencing work with Minter Ellison, Eric was a solicitor with Maurice Blackburn and Co. [Hall and Thompson] where he worked predominantly in liquor licensing and retail tenancy law. |
