Jim Shaw completed articles at Rigby Cooke before being called to the Bar in 1996 where he read with Craig Harrison.

In the civil jurisdiction Jim practices primarily in the areas of commercial law and building and construction law, appearing in the County and Supreme Courts and in VCAT.

Jim has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution and mediation.

Jim also has an extensive criminal law practice in which he prosecutes on behalf of the Crown and other authorities as well as appearing as defence counsel.
