Suzanne practices in the area of commercial litigation, especially in building and construction law.

Since coming to the bar she has appeared as junior counsel in such major commercial construction cases as Barwon Water v Aquatec & Ors (Supreme Court) and Anaconda v Fluor (commercial arbitration). She appears regularly in domestic building disputes at VCAT and in the courts on appeal and at first instance (where appropriate) for owners, builders, architects, engineers and indemnity and warranty insurers. She also appears before the Building Appeals Board and the Building Practitioners’ Board. Prior to coming to the Bar she was Company Solicitor of the Housing Guarantee Fund for 5 years.

She is also experienced in VCAT’s other jurisdictions, such as planning, tenancies, real property and fair trading.

Suzanne is an accredited mediator (LEADR) and has participated in over 400 mediations.
