After completing articles at the College of Law, Sydney, Dee commenced working for a medium sized Sydney firm practising in the areas of property law, mortgages and finance, and family law. She remained with that firm for 3 years.
On moving to Melbourne in 1998 Dee commenced "City Mentions and Litigation Support". The practice handled appearance work for country and suburban practitioners in all jurisdictions, but particularly in family law.
Simultaneously Dee was also employed as in house solicitor for the Australian Hotels Association until commencing reading at the Bar. In this role Dee advised the Association and its members on industrial relations, employment law, equal opportunity, gaming and liquor licensing matters.
Before coming to the Bar Dee was the Deputy Chair of the Law Institute's Workplace Relations Committee OHS sub-committee. |
