Roona is the first Afghani to join the Victorian Bar.

Prior to signing the Bar Roll Roona practised as a NAATI accredited national and international legal translator and interpreter in the languages of Dari, Pashto, Persian(Pharsi) and English for eight years assisting clients in the High Court and many Victorian and Federal courts and tribunals.

Roona practices in the areas of immigration/refugee law, commercial law, bankruptcy and insolvency, criminal law, family law, crimes family violence, magistrates civil, children’s court and personal injuries.
